Clay Duke

I have played the drums for nearly 10 years, playing in various ensembles learning many different genres. I would often write songs on garage band (usually not tell anyone) and was wondering how I could get a harder, heavier form of music to influence my writing. It was through music class with Connor Emery that I first heard Metallica and soon enough I had realised that that was what I was looking for and soon an interest in metal and metal drumming quickly became an obsession and I got a double kick. This was new and exciting. While I’d taken lessons through school, I learned to play metal in my spare time. While I have not been into metal for all that long once it got to a certain point I knew it was what I wanted to do.
